Projects ACN receives over 10,000 requests for aid each year from around the world. Around two thirds of these fit our project criteria and are approved for help.
Bishops, priests, religious and lay people can apply to our headquarters in Königstein, Germany, for support for their projects.
Each request must have the recommendation of the local bishop, a full description of the project and the circumstances surrounding it, the estimated cost and all other sources approached for aid. When we approve a project we normally contribute only a part of the total cost, and we expect the applicants to contribute a proportion themselves, either in cash or in labour.
